Best Hotels Near the Eiffel Tower Without the Crazy Prices

Staying near the Eiffel Tower sounds expensive—and it certainly can be. But you don’t have to spend $700 or $800 a night just to wake up within walking distance of one of Paris’s most famous landmarks.

There are smaller hotels, boutique stays, and comfortable neighborhood options around the 7th and 15th arrondissements that can put you surprisingly close to the Eiffel Tower without the luxury-palace price tag.

If comfort, walkability, and easy sightseeing matter more to you than having a five-star lobby, these are the kinds of hotels I would look at first.

1. Hôtel de Londres Eiffel

Just a short walk from the Eiffel Tower, Hôtel de Londres Eiffel is a charming smaller hotel in the 7th arrondissement.

What I like about this kind of location is that you can enjoy the Eiffel Tower area without depending on a taxi every time you want to go back to your room.

Why consider it:
• Excellent location
• Walkable to the Eiffel Tower
• Smaller, more personal hotel atmosphere
• Restaurants and cafés nearby

Best for: Couples and travelers who value location over a large hotel room.

2. Hôtel Eiffel Turenne

Hôtel Eiffel Turenne is another option worth checking if you want to stay near the Eiffel Tower without automatically moving into luxury-hotel prices.

It’s close to École Militaire and within walking distance of the tower, with Metro access nearby for exploring the rest of Paris.

Why consider it:
• Convenient Metro access
• Walkable neighborhood
• Close to the Eiffel Tower and Champ de Mars
• Good base for first-time Paris visitors

Best for: Travelers who want to do a lot of sightseeing without constantly taking taxis.

3. Hôtel de la Paix Tour Eiffel

For travelers who care most about being close to the Eiffel Tower, Hôtel de la Paix Tour Eiffel is another smaller property to compare.

The surrounding 7th arrondissement is one of my favorite areas for travelers who want Paris outside the door but still appreciate being able to return to a quieter neighborhood at the end of the day.

Why consider it:
• Very convenient Eiffel Tower location
• Smaller hotel
• Plenty of dining options nearby
• Easy for evening walks around the tower

Best for: Couples and short Paris stays.

4. Hôtel Bleu de Grenelle

If you're willing to stay slightly farther from the tower, Hôtel Bleu de Grenelle can be an interesting alternative.

The big advantage here is transportation. Being close to a useful Metro station can sometimes make a Paris hotel more convenient than a hotel that's technically closer to one attraction.

Why consider it:
• Excellent Metro access
• Modern atmosphere
• Eiffel Tower area is still easily accessible
• Convenient for exploring beyond the 7th arrondissement

Best for: Travelers staying several days who plan to explore different parts of Paris.

5. Hôtel Gustave

Hôtel Gustave is in the 15th arrondissement, not far from the Eiffel Tower.

This is exactly the type of area I would compare with the more expensive hotels immediately surrounding the tower. Moving just a little farther away can sometimes give you better value while keeping the Eiffel Tower within easy reach.

Why consider it:
• Boutique-style property
• Convenient location
• Eiffel Tower within walking distance
• Good alternative to pricier 7th arrondissement hotels

Best for: Travelers looking for a balance of style, location, and price.

A Tip Before You Book

Paris hotel prices change dramatically depending on the season, weekend, holidays, and major events.

Instead of choosing a hotel based only on an advertised nightly price, I recommend comparing your actual travel dates.

A hotel that looks expensive today could be one of the better values for your particular week—and the opposite can also be true.

Also check whether breakfast is included, whether the room has air conditioning, and whether the hotel has an elevator.

That last one matters more in Paris than you might think.

Is Staying Near the Eiffel Tower Worth It?

For a first visit to Paris, I think it can be.

There's something special about walking back toward your hotel after dinner and suddenly seeing the Eiffel Tower glowing above the neighborhood.

But I wouldn't pay hundreds of dollars more per night just for an Eiffel Tower address.

Stay a few streets—or even a Metro stop—away, and you can often get the experience without paying the most expensive prices in the neighborhood.
